2K EVENT INFO
EVENT DATE – SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2025 – 9AM
The Woodlands Marathon will host the annual 2K Fun Run/Walk. Children and individuals are invited to run or walk the 2K course that will traverse the streets of Town Center. Friends, family and spectators will be able to cheer the participants across the finish line.
RACE DATE START TIMES (estimated):
Saturday, February, 22 2025
- 2K Family Fun Run Walk – 9am
All 2k Fun Run/Walk participants will need to be at the starting line by 8:45am.
NOTE: 5k Run starts at 7:30am. The marathon, half marathon and 10k are the following week on March 4th.

2K (RACE DATE: FEB 24th)
- PROCESSING FEES are not included ($4-$8 average).
- Entry is non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Race entry may be switched to another race distance for a $10 admin fee until 2/16/25 and any difference in fees if moving up in distance. Please email registration@thewoodlandsmarathon.com if you would like to switch races.

AGE REQUIREMENT:
Recommended for children ages 3-13 but adults may participate. All participants must be 3 years of age by February 22, 2025. Athletes younger than 3 years of age will need a parent request to participate in the 2K Fun Run Walk. Upon review the Race Director may grant approval. Parents will be allowed to run with their children.

The Woodlands Marathon will recognize the following place finishers during the awards ceremony during the Post Race Finish Festival.
Male and Female Overall
3 Deep in each Age Group
Ages 4 and under (Male and Female)
Ages 5-6 (Male and Female)
Ages 7-8 (Male and Female)
Ages 9-10 (Male and Female)
Ages 11-12 (Male and Female)
Ages 13-14 (Male and Female)
Ages 15 and over (Male and Female)
AWARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED – The Awards Ceremony has been scheduled well in advance and in order to collect your award a runner must attend the ceremony or have someone pick it up at the Awards Ceremony. NO EXCEPTIONS
