As Captain, you will be taking on a Team Leadership Role. This role has several Key Responsibilities:
* Volunteer must be 25 years old or older.
*Attend all Mandatory training and information sessions.
* Ensuring all volunteers have arrived on time for their shift and have been accounted for.
* Relaying anything missing to your Race Coordinator
*Manage and coordinate your specific station and/or zone.
*Pick up supplies and equipment necessary for you team to do their job.
*Ensure your specific station and/or zone is cleaned and ready for pickup at the end of your shift.

Location

Located on Research Forest Drive and New Trails Drive.
We will be serving Gatorade Endurance and water at this stop.

Water Stop Mile 2

You must be 14-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

3. RUNNER HYDRATION - When runners pass by, SHOUT what you're holding, USE YOUR OUTSIDE VOICE!!!!!!! Always wear your gloves and hold the cup at the bottom, pass it to your runner..be sure to continually pick-up those discarded cups!!

REQUIREMENTS:
-Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The race will take place rain or shine so be prepared for whatever weather conditions will prevail on race day. Don't forget sunscreen or rain gear.
-Wear your volunteer t-shirt or vest while working. It must be visible to runners and may have to be worn over a jacket.

Arrive at the time designated to set up the station and get ready for ACTION! Your Job has 3-parts:

1. SAFETY OFFICER - Keeping course free of debris, 1st Priority is to provide a safe course for our runners!! Please keep spectators, bikers or non-official personnel clear of the actual aid station area. Also, keep younger children from darting into the runner's path. Once all of the runners have passed, you'll help clean up, which includes picking up cups,
taking down and stacking tables, bagging garbage and recycling, etc.
REMEMBER to keep yourself out of the runners path

2. CHEERLEADER - Get Up, get Excited and Keep them Moving!! Cheer them on, saying "Good Job!!," Keep Going!!" and "You Got This!!" will be really inspiring and greatly appreciated!!!
3. RUNNER HYDRATION - When runners pass by, SHOUT what you're holding, USE YOUR OUTSIDE VOICE!!!!!!! Always wear your gloves and hold the cup at the bottom, pass it to your runner..be sure to continually pick-up those discarded cups!!

REQUIREMENTS:
-Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The race will take place rain or shine so be prepared for whatever weather conditions will prevail on race day. Don't forget sunscreen or rain gear.
-Wear your volunteer t-shirt or vest while working. It must be visible to runners and may have to be worn over a jacket.
-Pack some snacks and liquid refreshments for you own use. No alcoholic beverages.
-Know the location of the medical personnel attached to your aid station
-You will be assigned one or more of the following duties: Gatorade Mixer, Pourer, Server, and/or Clean up Crew. As running traffic increases or decreases, Your Water Stop Captain may shift you to other duties.
